If you’re not ready to
tell your parents, don’t tell them unconsciously.
Sometimes if you really want your parents to know
and accept you – or if you’re angry
that they don’t – you may do something
that causes them to find out without realizing that
that’s what you’re doing.
Sometime parents really do find out accidentally
that their child is queer, but you can minimize
the odds of that happening by using some caution.
You know your family. If your mother is going to
rifle through your underwear drawer, don’t
put a queer manifesto in there.
