Patrick DeCoste is a Toronto based artist who studied at Mount Allison University. His recent exhibitions include Nuit Blanche at Engine Gallery Toronto, Gibraltar Point Centre for the Arts 100th Anniversary, and the Leslie Lohman Gallery in New York City. He has received grants from The Toronto Arts Council, The Ontario Arts Council, and The Canada Council for the Arts. His painting for the Line Art Auction is entitled 'The Dream of Born Swimming'. Born swimming was a sixteenth century Mi'kmaq woman who prophesied the arrival of Europeans in Nova Scotia.
