Walter Segers was born and raised in Belgium. He currently lives and works in Toronto, Canada. Segers is a photo based artist and recent graduate from the Ontario College of Art and Design (BFA, 2008). His photographs focus on the tension between the private and the public. Segers creates a charged moment between individuals through assembled interactions. Using his camera, he explores intimacy, sexuality, subtle shadings of gender, and the fine line between masculinity and femininity.
