HAPPY BIRTHDAY YOUTH
LINE!
The Lesbian Gay Bi Trans Youth Line in celebrating 10
years of youth power and support. Since 1994, LGBTQ
youth volunteers have been answering the calls from
tens ofthousands people throughout Ontario. From
Ottawa to Windsor, from Toronto to North Bay and
all points in between, our volunteers have been
there to listen and support.
Life for young LGBTQ people can still be challenging,
especially in places like schools and in rural areas
where services are unavailable. The volunteers,
donors, staff and community supporters of the Youth
Line are committed to ensuring that there will always
be a phone line to call.
I hope that in the next 10 years, the Youth Line
can count on your support. Our ability to pick up
the phone has been and will continue to be linked
to the community that supports us. The Youth Line
has gone this far thanks to the efforts of many
people of all stripes and all ages. This year as
communities celebrate with Pride across Ontario,
please remember to pass on our phone number.
