Dare to imagine a world where youth of all genders and sexualities are supported and celebrated. Dare to imagine a world where our communities have all we need to live our lives honestly and safely. Dare to imagine a world that is more affirming of all genders and sexualities.
This Pride Season, LGBT YouthLine wants you to dare to imagine a world that is better, safer, and more affirming for 2SLGBTQ youth. As we practice physical distancing guidelines in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic, our celebrations of queerness and communities will look a little different this year.
Every year, LGBT YouthLine recognizes the resilience of 2SLGBTQ youth, celebrates the joys of our existence and community and reflects on the continued barriers to security and well-being for those impacted by transphobia, homophobia, and intersecting marginalization.
Join us as we reflect on our personal and communities’ histories, share with one another and come together virtually, and #Dare2Imagine a world that’s better for all 2SLGBTQ youth.
We want to hear how you celebrate your identity and community. The big and small ways that you remember that you are part of a community every day. The ways you express your queerness, channel your fears, sadness, shame, and anger, demonstrate your Pride, and work to build our community.
We may not be able to march together this year, but we are still here. We are still a community. We are still in this together. LGBT YouthLine is still providing peer support to 2SLGBTQ youth in Ontario. We are still helping reduce social isolation, helping connect people together, and affirming the identities, feelings, emotions, and experiences of young queer and trans folks. Join us in continuing to support these young people.
