Only individuals may be nominated for these categories

	*Outstanding Contribution to Queer Youth Activism* YouthLine recognizes queer, trans, and Two Spirit youth in the community who make it their mandate to take up space within their community (school, geographical community, and other communities identified with). YouthLine encourages individuals trying to create a safe space for others wherever they are on their journey of self-discovery. We would like to acknowledge the courage, strength, and leadership that these individuals possess. It is important to the growth of future and present youth leaders that we recognize outstanding youth in the queer community who are acting, in order to inspire others to keep the spirit of change and progress alive.

Outstanding Contribution to Queer Youth Activism

We would like to recognize the courage, strength, and leadership that these individuals possess. It is important to the growth of future and present youth leaders that we recognize outstanding youth in the trans community who are visible, in order to inspire others to keep the spirit of change and progress alive.

	*Outstanding Contribution to BIPOC Activism* YouthLine would like to recognize Black, Indigenous, and youth of colour within the community who have taken a stance towards promotion of equity, human rights for themselves and members of the community. We would like to acknowledge the immense amount of resilience one must have to endure the oppression and discrimination that BIPOC youth may experience, as well as the impact of intersections of identity for individuals who belong to more than one marginalized community. We would like to honour youth working towards equity in communities with Black, Indigenous, people of colour.

YouthLine would like to recognize Black, Indigenous, and youth of colour within the community who have taken a stance towards promotion of equity, human rights for themselves and members of the community. We would like to acknowledge the immense amount of resilience one must have to endure the oppression and discrimination that BIPOC youth may experience, as well as the impact of intersections of identity for individuals who belong to more than one marginalized community. We would like to honour youth working towards equity in communities with Black, Indigenous, people of colour.

We support those youth who are bridging gaps and enhancing the learning experience for all members in their learning environments.

We encourage those who are facilitating positive change and providing tools and avenues to their peers in the community to advocate for themselves and to better their quality of life. We would also like to honour youth who are making right the social injustices they encounter. We would like to honour individuals who inspire pride and joy in our communities.

YouthLine would like to recognize youth that are empowering other youth in the community, who have demonstrated acts of support, strength, leadership, and social justice. A new and special category added last year! YouthLine would like to commend a young person who is under the age of 12, who is doing incredible things in their community. We would like to honour a young person who is doing their best to inspire change and equity amongst the youngest in our society.
