2SLGBTQIA+ Counselling, Centretown Community Health Centre
Free short term individual counselling for Two-Spirit, Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Nonbinary, Trans, Queer, Intersex, Asexual (plus!) people in the Greater Ottawa area.
Our counsellors are from the 2SLGBTQIA+ community and are here to help with: exploring and affirming your gender identity and sexual orientation, gender transition support, and connection to 2SLGBTQIA+ community groups and resources. Support for parents is available as well.
Services are for individuals with limited resources or without private insurance.

Brantford Pride
Brantford Pride Month is an annual event that runs in June. The main event is Pride in the Park held the third Saturday in June.
The Brantford Pride Committee is a grassroots group, working to mobilize around issues affecting the 2SLGBTQ+ community in Brantford, while holding space to celebrate and honour the 2SLGBTQ+ community!

Brantford Queer Sphere, Wilfrid Laurier University (WLU)
Queer Sphere is a committee under the Diversity & Equity Office that promotes the awareness, acceptance and social advocacy for Queer members on campus with the aim for students to meet and socialize with their peers, as well as to impact the university in a positive way. Regular events and meetings include discussions, games night, movie night and guest speakers.

On the first and third Friday, a diverse and dynamic group of youth meet at Kind for an evening of low-pressure hanging out. Care, support, and harm reduction are key practices at Café Q which is run by Taryn and other support facilitators. Caledon Pride
Caledon Pride is a grassroots 2SLGBTQIA+ Pride Month planning group dedicated to creating an inclusive community for all in Caledon, Ontario. We work with local organizations to bring meaningful programming to the community during Pride Month, and to promote 2SLGBTQ+ advocacy year-round.

Embrave – Agency to End Violence is an anti-violence organization providing shelter, counselling and advocacy supports for women, Two-Spirit, gender queer, trans and non-binary folks and their children experiencing any form of violence in the Region of Peel and beyond. We provide supports and services to survivors with or without children.
We understand that survivors’ experiences of violence are compounded by intersecting forms of racism and oppression. Embrave is a low barrier organization that is committed to ending gender-based violence by acknowledging and addressing the multitude of barriers facing folks who have experienced violence and by providing crisis intervention and a range of supports and services.
Embrave’s definition of gender-based violence includes intimate partner violence, sexual assault, sexual harassment, cyber violence; physical, emotional and financial violence; stalking; structural and systemic violence, such as racism, colonialism, classism, transphobia, homophobia, sanism, islamophobia, nationalism and ableism.
