Brock Pride is the official Brock University club devoted to creating a safe, social environment for students of diverse gender and sexual identities. We offer a welcoming atmosphere which provides an opportunity for students of the pride community (gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, two-spirited, intersex, queer, questioning or otherwise associated) and their allies to create support networks and gain guidance in maintaining healthy relationships, coming out, and other issues relevant to having a queer identity. We will also pursue the advancement of equality, acceptance and fair treatment of LGBTQ+ issues such as accessibility of same-sex marriage, homophobia on campus and in the community, addressing heterosexism and lack of representation in society, and fair treatment of pride community members.

Education on Queer Issues Project (EQuIP), Queen’s University

EQuIP is a student-run, education based, LGBTQ+ initiative at Queen’s University. Some of our work includes holding weekly discussions on relevant topics/issues, organizing social and political events, and doing out-reach work (i.e. educational campaigns). Our physical location in the John Deutsch University Centre (JDUC), room 342, also works as an inclusive space where folks can meet and get resources, though it is temporarily closed due to COVID-19 restrictions.

We actively host virtual discussions and other events during the school year that are open to all – check out our Facebook or Instagram for event details and updates.

Guelph Queer Equality

A queer student-run special status group on campus. We’re like a club but with a dry erase wall, a budget line for condoms, and “Trans Babe” buttons. We have a library, free safe-sex supplies, free menstrual products, and more in our office in UC 270.
Our office is open under limited hours with additional safety measures in place. We welcome folks who want a place to sit, study, nap, or chat. Come make some buttons or draw on our dry-erase wall any time the door is open.
