Rainbow West, Yorktown Family Services

The Rainbow West Program is a 2SLGBTQ+ youth program, for ages 12-29 offered in West Toronto. Through this program youth have an opportunity to access mental health supports, dedicated to responding to their unique needs while accessing an inclusive, safe, and welcoming environment for youth who identify as queer/trans.  Youth can engage in drop-in programming, one to one mental health services, youth-led initiatives, and help inform program activities. We seek to deliver regular peer-driven activities including social events, workshops, and trips to queer and trans youth in the area. The drop-in sessions are held on a bi-weekly basis from July 17th onwards from 4:30 – 6:30 PM.

BQWCHC offers health and social support programs and services for Belleville-Trenton’s Two-Spirit, Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, and Intersex communities and other communities that identify as sexually and gender-diverse (2SLGBTQI+). BQWCHC strives to create safe spaces (in person and virtually) for people to gather. Our 2SLGBTQI+ social groups and events offer opportunities for members of the community to be their authentic selves, make social connections and feel a sense of belonging.

Rainbow Youth Program

The Rainbow Youth Program strives to make lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, 2-spirit, queer and questioning (LGBTQ+) youth feel safe, included, and empowered in Peterborough and the four counties. We give LGBTQ+ youth the space to be themselves and the tools to lead positive change in their schools, peer groups, and community. Weekly Drop In for LGBTQ+ youth on Thursdays at 3:30-5:30pm.
Workshops on LGBTQ+ inclusion for students, educators, and service providers.
Support for LGBTQ+ individuals, community groups, and GSAs.
