Triangle Program
The Triangle Program is a high school for 2SLGBTQ+ youth who are in need of a smaller and safer space where they can find and build community. We strive to reflect our students’ experiences in an 2SLGBTQ+ and social justice-focused curriculum. We offer caring and flexible supports to help our students earn their high school diploma in the following ways:
- Curriculum serving grades 9 to 12.
- We address the interests, concerns, literature, and history of the 2SLGBTQ+ communities in our classes whenever possible.
- Guest speakers and field trips to connect students with different members of the 2SLGBTQ+ community.
- Small program size allows more teacher interaction.
- Social supports: Through one part-time social worker, a part-time CYC, and through our connections to community organizations.
- Nutrition: Triangle Program is able to offer students a free nutritious meal most days at lunch. Community volunteers prepare lunch.
- Opportunities for volunteer hours and dual credits.
- TTC fare so transportation is not a barrier.
