Our Programs

It’s finally here! At a launch party in Mississauga on April 21st, 2024, we unveiled Coming Home: An Anthology. The fabulous Dulce the Queen was our MC and kicked off the evening with a sparkling drag performance. Several of the 2SLGBTQ+ youth contributors to the book performed or displayed their pieces, and they were cheered on by an audience of their peers, family, and other community members. Audience members also had first dibs at snagging a physical copy of the anthology for a donation. The YouthLine team wants to express our deep gratitude to the contributors for sharing their art and stories with us, both on the page and on the stage.

Want to read the anthology?  View and download a digital version here, or make a donation for a physical copy on our Square shop: https://lgbtyouthline-shop.square.site/

YouthOrganize (YO) brings together 2SLGBTQ+ youth within Peel, Halton, and surrounding regions to host 2SLGBTQ+ programming, strengthen leadership skills, and build community.

Led by a Youth Advisory Committee (YAC), and LGBT YouthLine staff, YouthOrganize will host an arts-based workshop series and drop-in/event spaces that are open to all 2SLGBTQ+ youth throughout the Peel and Halton regions.

Throughout all programming, we will be working towards the development of an anthology comprised of a collection of creative pieces (e.g., art, poetry, photographs, short stories) from 2SLGBTQ+ youth! The Anthology will include the history of community organizing in Peel and Halton, archival work, and other emerging themes.

Are you a 2SLGBTQ+ youth living in Peel or Halton regions, and want to get involved? Follow LGBT YouthLine on social media for the latest updates, and don’t forget to sign up for the YouthLine newsletter!
