YL’s New Strategic Plan 2024

September 2024 Dear YL community, We, at YouthLine, are so excited to share with you our brand-new, 3-year strategic plan! As a part of our 30th-anniversary celebrations and planning, we undertook a dynamic strategic planning process with the support of consultants at Shoreline Collaboratives. This process involved staff, board members, volunteers, and members of the public. We are so grateful for everyone's collaboration and care toward the future of YouthLine. Some of the highlights you can find in this strategic plan include: An emphasis on keeping the core of the organization strong; Focus on the HelpLine and Volunteer program; Ensuring that there is adequate strategy, planning, and intention (especially for new initiatives) as we move into the next era of YouthLine; Consider and center the team's wellbeing; Ensure that evaluation, monitoring, and feedback processes are built into activities and program areas; a focus on growing our partnerships and finding opportunities to work collectively with other organizations that share our values and priorities. The landscape of 2SLGBTQ+ organizations today looks very different today than it did when YouthLine was created. With the ongoing support of our communities, we are looking forward to continuing to evolve and remain steadfast in offering care and support to queer, trans and 2-Spirit young people across the province.
