We are in an era of global backlash against 2SLGBTQIA+ rights — and Canada is not an exception. Now is the time for Canada to lead: to speak up and stand up for 2SLGBTQIA+ equality at home and abroad.
Since 2022, the Federal 2SLGBTQIA+ Action Plan has strengthened community organizations and invested in hundreds of projects across the country. But it’s set to expire soon.
And in this political moment, we know our issues are being pushed aside and deprioritized — unless we do something about it. We can’t afford to have 2SLGBTQIA+ issues forgotten — especially not when the stakes are so high.
That’s why today, over 100+ allied organizations are joining together to call on the Government of Canada to renew and expand the Action Plan.
