Apply to the Provincial Youth Ambassador Project! (CLOSED)

The Provincial Youth Ambassador Program (PYAP) is back, and we’re looking to recruit some awesome youth leaders for this 2021-2022 cohort! Are you a 2SLGBTQ+ youth (ages 16-29) in Ontario? Do you have a passion for youth leadership and a vision for the future? Become a Youth Ambassador!  

PYAP  brings together 20 2SLGBTQ+ youth from across Ontario to create 2SLGBTQ+ programming, strengthen leadership skills, and build community. In keeping with the assertions made by youth in the 2019 Needs Assessment survey, as well as recommendations from our #DoBetter report, we’re calling on youth to #BuildBetter for 2SLGBTQ+ futures! 

Over 7 months, the 2021-2022 cohort of Youth Ambassadors (YAs) will collaborate in pods of 4-5 YAs each. Pods will plan, develop and showcase digital media projects that explore what 2SLGBTQ+ youth envision, struggle with or strive for in the future! There’s a wide range of eligible projects to develop, including: 

• Podcasts 
• Video series 
• Organizer toolkits 
• Zines 
• Webinars 
• Blogs 
• Social media campaigns 
• And even more!
  

YAs will have access to ongoing training, skill-building, funding and staff support to build their pod services.
