Today is the the 2017 Day of Pink, where we concentrate our collective energies to discover new ways to resist Bullying, Discrimination, Homophobia, Transphobia, and Transmisogyny in our communities.
Youth Line is a provincial organization, and we serve people from all around Ontario. In bigger cities like Toronto or Ottawa there is often more support for LGBTQ+ youth: drop-in programs, mental health organizations, workshops, GSAs, events… In smaller and more rural cities and towns those resources can become scarce.
We thrive when we are around people who understand and celebrate our diverse identities. Isolation and a lack of community can be a devastating experience for anyone who experiences marginalization, and that’s what Youth Line wants to fight against.
Youth Line’s help lines are open 6 days a week, from Sunday to Friday from 4pm-9:30. You can call, text, or instant message us to talk about anything, whether you just need someone to chat with or some one who can support you when you’re having a rough go of it.
For the Day of Pink, consider getting involved to help Youth Line reach the young people who really need our support. There are a few ways you can do this!
