Over the last year, Youth Line has had the exciting opportunity to do arts based programming with a generous grant from ArtReach. From October 2016 to March 2017, we ran a workshops series called For All The Feels that was for and by LGBTQ2s+ youth around the GTA. Youth got involved with various art projects, but more than that, we worked together to create safe spaces for queer and trans youth to hang out in a fun, low-key environment tailored to their access needs.
Youth Line and nearly one hundred youth came together with community agencies and LGBTQ2S youth mentors to be a part of:
Indigenous Beading with Shane H. at Two Spirited People of the First Nation
Mutant Skool: A Comix Workshop with Jes Sasche at Rex Pride
Self Care First Aid Kits with Kat M. at East Metro Youth Services
“Thank you so much! =) I was so happy and I am eternally thankful. My youth really enjoyed it. I look forward to going to future workshops with my youth. The facilitators were so kind generous, open-minded, compassionate and patient. Again, thank you SO much!” -youth program leader
