HelpLine Services Open for the Holidays

« View all newsLGBT YouthLine knows that the holidays can be hard for 2SLGBTQ+ youth, and this year, it can be even harder. If you or a 2SLGBTQ+ youth in your life are looking to access our services over the holiday season, know that we are open!
Thanks to our shift supervisors and volunteers, our Peer Support HelpLine will be open throughout the holidays, including December 24, 25, 31 and January 1 during our regular hours of Sunday to Friday from 4:00pm to 9:30pm EST.
Our Resource Database is also available to locate local resources, including Crisis Supports. However, many programs might be closed over the next two weeks so we recommend that you check their websites and social media pages to find other programs and groups that you can access during the holidays.
The YouthLine Team also wanted to remind you that while we may not be able to do in-person activities together, we can still attend and support one another in virtual spaces. Here is a list of some holiday events that are happening over the next few weeks:
- December 18: Category Is…HoliGays!
- December 19: Queer Crafternoon: Snowflakes!
- December 20: 2 Spirit Variety Show
- December 21-December 31: Naked Heart, hosting 40 authors at 12 free events.
- December 23: Pride In Holidays! (North Bay)
- December 31: LAVENDER: 3rd Annual NYE Party
- January 1-7, 2021: Guelph Market Fundraiser (Out on the Shelf)
