Our Provincial Youth Ambassador Program (PYAP) is creating a zine! This zine came out of the understanding that for many 2SLGBTQ+ youth, coming out or inviting others in does not feel like a safe option in certain or all spaces. We hope to capture the multiple ways 2SLGBTQ+ youth may affirm, honour, or express their sexuality or gender identity discreetly, so we invite you to share any and all the ways you do so via your own entry. We especially hope to hear from 2SLGBTQ+ Black, Indigenous, and youth of colour. A select 20 entries will receive an honoraria of $50 and the final zine will be hosted on LGBT YouthLine’s website in May.
We welcome written and artistic submissions, which you can submit here.
Please note: We ask that you only submit one entry. We cannot guarantee that everyone will receive an honoraria depending on how many submissions we receive. By submitting to the form, you consent to have your entry included in the zine regardless of whether you receive an honoraria or not (you can also opt out of receiving one).
The deadline for submission is March 14th by 11:59 pm EST.
