We’re Hiring an Interim Executive Director

Dear YouthLine Community,  

As we move into Pride season and YouthLine’s 29th year, we have a leadership and staffing update to share. Please take a moment to read the following organizational updates that are taking place at LGBT YouthLine.  

LGBT YouthLine’s Executive Director, Berkha Gupta, will be taking a one-year leave of absence beginning on July 16th 2022. The Board of Directors recognizes the great leadership they have demonstrated for the last 6 years, and particularly in the last 2 years as the organization continued to provide support to 2SLGBTQ+ youth across Ontario during the pandemic. We would like to extend deep gratitude to Berkha for their continued commitment to the organization. 

To minimize gaps in leadership, the Board of Directors is beginning a search for an Interim Executive Director for a one-year term (July 2022-July 2023). We are looking for an experienced leader with demonstrated skills in change management, finance and fundraising, and non-profit leadership.  

Over the course of the 12-month term, the Interim Executive Director’s key priorities will be to: (1) mentor, coach, and manage LGBT YouthLine’s staff team to ensure programming deliverables are met, (2) oversee and manage the organization’s finances, grant deliverables, and fundraising goals, and (3) in collaboration with the Board of Directors, oversee the delivery of an organizational review, to be conducted by a third-party consultant.
