The LGBT Youth Awards put on by Youth Line is a way to celebrate and recognise the contributions of outstanding LGBTTIQQ2SA youth. The youth awards gala is an event featuring an evening reception followed by an awards ceremony with performances featuring up and coming LGBTTIQQ2SA youth artists. Many things go into the creation of this evening and we need your help to do it!

Would you like to help plan and run the next youth awards? Are you a youth awards alumni or past participant? Do you enjoy party planning and want to help organize the after-party? Want to celebrate the amazing work being done by youth in our community?
Join our team and gain experience in event planning, marketing, sponsorships, and collaborative team work.
Food and tokens will be provided.
Come participate in a celebration of Youth Line’s 25th anniversary and the wonderful youth who continue to promote change!

Logistics lead – Youth awards is looking for one person to fill the role of logistics lead. This person will be responsible for things such as: setting up ticket sales, finalizing caterers, determining decoration plans etc. The person who fills this role should have excellent organization skills and great time management skills. This role may be worked with a partner, the person who gets this must be a self starter who works well in groups.
Sponsorships lead – Youth awards is looking for one person to fill the role of sponsorships leads. This person will be responsible for: sending out sponsorship packages, keeping up communication with potential and confirmed sponsors, getting content from the sponsors. The person who fills this role should have excellent communication skills, and some past experience working with sponsors.
Youth Awards Committee member – Youth awards is looking for 2 or 3 people who would like to be a committee member for the planning of the youth awards gala. These people will work in collaboration with the different leads on various tasks. If you would like to take part in planning the event but may not have the time to contribute to being a lead this role is perfect for you.
You – Are you unsure where you might fit in? Do you still want to help out? We’re interested in working with anyone who is eager to support YL!
