Request for Proposals: Strategic Planning Consultant

The Strategic Planning Committee of the Lesbian Gay Bi Trans Youth Line is inviting consultants to submit a proposal to assist the Youth Line with Strategic Planning for 2018-2021.  The successful consultant will work with the Strategic Planning Committee to inform the undertaking of consultation, planning and report processes.

The primary responsibility of the selected Consultant will be to work with staff and the Board of Directors of the LGBT Youth Line to identify, explore and select strategic priorities that will guide the work and development of the Youth Line for the next 3 years. The process should also review and refine Youth Line’s Mission, Vision, and Values. The consultant will also provide recommendations for the “next steps” of this process in the form of strategic planning documents that are suitable for both internal and external stakeholders.

The selected Consultant will be required to:

1. Work in collaboration with the Strategic Planning Committee to review stakeholder and key informant lists
2. Gather input and analyze feedback from stakeholders through one or more methods (eg: interviews, surveys and focus groups)
3. Lead an all-day planning session to support the Youth Line to actualize priorities based on stakeholder input
4. Create a report that summarizes the ideas and priorities that emerged through both stakeholder feedback and the organizational planning day
5. Provide recommendations on next steps (i.e. implementation, training, etc.)
